Auto-Spell Checker Not Working In FireFox-Add a Dictionary
I recently got a new computer which has Windows 7 installed. Since I prefer the FireFox browser instead of the installed IE 8 I added this to the desktop. However I found that when I wrote documents like blog posts the automatic spell checker in FireFox(3.6.4) did not work even though I had checked the box for "check spelling as I type."
This tab is found under tools>options>general on the FireFox browser. Well after much searching on the Internet I discovered that for some reason there was no dictionary installed on my computer(or within the browser software) for English.
A quick search of FireFox add-ons led me to a list of Dictionaries and language packs and I simply added English(GB) which is I wanted to my browser as an add-on. By the way there are several different versions of English dictionary that cover the native English speaking nations like the US, UK and Australia.
Not I can automatically check my appalling spelling.
