Send Feedburner Feed to Twitter

Google Feedburner have just introduced a new facility to the Publize tab on your Feedburner dashboard. You can now link directly from your feed to your Twitter account. After a short initial set up, your latest blog post will automatically be published on Twitter without the need to use a third party.

Just log into your Feedburner account and select the feed you want to publish on Twitter. Click on the Publize tab then select the socialize link from the left hand menu. Complete the form and activate.

Bingo!

Here's what your Tweet looks like after publication-notice the new Google tiny URL(goo.gl) which links back to your post.

Currently this extension only applies to Twitter but I suspect more social media will be included soon. Whilst on the subject of Twitter, I have just downloaded and am road testing TweetDeck, but more on that in another future post.

About Me

Mike Rose
I have lived in Thailand since I retired from teaching in the UK in January 2008. Home is a bungalow about 2km from the Gulf of Thailand and 8km south of the town of Prachuap Khiri Khan. I am one of the few foreigners that live in this area. I am a keen birder and photographer although I have a lot to learn about both subjects! I also enjoy blogging and visiting temples and other cultural and wildlife sites in the country. I am trying to learn the Thai language, but I think you could say that it remains a work in progress.
