Rearrange Layout Blogger Bug in Firefox and Chrome

If you have recently tried to rearrange the layout on your Blogger blog you may well find that this is impossible to do if you are using FireFox 3.6 or Chrome 4.0 browsers. Quite what the problem is I am unsure but I see on Blogger known issues there is an outstanding problem relating to rearranging layouts for folk using custom templates.

Well I use custom templates and can confirm that the issue exists for me, in fact if I try to rearrange the layout in either of these browsers the unit I have clicked and dragged simply disappears, so I exit without saving!

The good news is however that if you use I.E. 8.0(not sure about earlier builds) then you can edit your template as before. Now I'm no computer expert but I fancy the problem is script related because I have also noticed that when using FireFox 3.6 I often get a problem trying to leave a comment on a blog.

Personally I am starting to get a bit miffed with FireFox, its slow and seems to get slower with each revision.

I'm also having problems rearranging my layout. I'm a Mozilla and Chrome user for many years. I've tried IE7 which is what I have here and it worked! :) Thanks for the tip!

Mike Rose
I have lived in Thailand since I retired from teaching in the UK in January 2008. Home is a bungalow about 2km from the Gulf of Thailand and 8km south of the town of Prachuap Khiri Khan. I am one of the few foreigners that live in this area. I am a keen birder and photographer although I have a lot to learn about both subjects! I also enjoy blogging and visiting temples and other cultural and wildlife sites in the country. I am trying to learn the Thai language, but I think you could say that it remains a work in progress.
